When you freeze a beautiful shrimp
correctly it will defrost like the day it

The James W Salyers is in Savannah
Georgia. This vessel is dedicated to my
grandfather, James W. Salyers. He was
man who served our great nation with
passion and conviction as an Army
Infantryman during WWII. His
love for God, his wife, and his 3 boys was
paramount in his life. I pray his legacy
will live on with this shrimp trawler being
a symbol of faith, character, and honor.
The men who work on this boat will
produce the highest quality products and
conduct themselves with same integrity of
the man whose name is on the bow. A true Fisher of Men.

$3.60/gallon this time. It dropped from the previous price of $3.85/gallon. We use 1,000 gallons a week.
We purchased a freezer boat versus an ice boat to ensure we have a higher quality product. We also
selected a high efficiency diesel engine to burn less fuel. To be honest, we have been seeking markets
further away from the shorelines in efforts to move our product closer to populations desiring fresh
wild-caught seafood.
Shrimp is one of the highest consumed seafood products in the world. We live in an area that provides
the product in its natural environment with individuals who have dedicated their lives to this trade. We produce the highest quality shrimp. I feel people many people are uneducated about the dangers of farm raised shrimp and other seafoods as it pertains to their health. I also feel people are unaware that by purchasing imported shrimp they are no longer supporting our Nation’s economy. Its sad when a bag of chicken feed cost more per pound than we receive for Wild-Caught Shrimp.
